Lambasting Left Lane Loafers

Instructions for Highway Driving:

Left Lane IS a passing lane
Left Lane IS NOT a "fast lane"

Why is this important? Because what is "fast" to you is not "fast" to somebody else. If there is nobody in the lane to the right of you, why not just move into it? You are helping out in a couple different ways. First, you make it easier for that person who is going faster. They don't have to slow down waiting for you to move. Second, you are creating a safer situation because oftentimes, rather than waiting, the faster driver will just swerve into the other lane, creating a very dangerous situation. Third, if you aren't in the left lane, odds are that you aren't going to get a speeding ticket because the cops keep the gun on the left lane.

Now, some will say, "But the person who is speeding more should slow down." ABSOLUTELY. But they won't. So, instead of causing more of a hazard, just move over and make everything easier and smoother.
