Week Four Recap

Puddins Pugilists - 62
The PingPong Paddles - 36

The line on this one was 6, but Puddin pulled off the huge upset by 26. Marvin Harrison came up huge with 3 touchdowns and 25 points. Lelie and Garner are also starting to contribute. Alge has been quiet recently. Do Bears started off the day a player down. Vanderjagt and GB's D just couldn't carry the team, particularly given Brooks' anemic performance behind center. Priest showed that he is in fact human while scoring only 4 points.

Touch It! - 44
PingPong Paddles - 59

The Paddles pulled this one out behind another solid performance by Jake the Snake and a 15 point performance from C Johnson. Dillon was once again disappointing. Touch It! just never put it together this week. They had a number of tough matchups and it just wasn't in the cards. The line was Paddles by 11. Wound up by 15. Not too far off.

The Unmutuals - 61
Team X

Without a doubt, the most exciting game of the season thus far. The Unmutuals appeared dead in the water until Manning scored an incredible 42 points. Team X then looked to be in trouble, but Bubba Franks and Beans found his way into the end zone in the fourth quarter of Monday night's game. ONE more yard from Franks and this would have been a tie, which was the line. Amazing. Frerotte was EXTREMELY impressive with 29 points. Tough to say what is going to happen up in Minnesota during this coming week.

Chkn Burrito Ultimo - 59
Mamas Boys II - 19

What has happened to the Mamas Boys? 19 points? That one speaks for itself. Burrito received another solid game from the GB connection, but one still has to wonder how this strategy will work out through the long season. Without those two, this would have been a close one, with Burrito winding up with 20 points. Interesting....

Dewey Devils - 109
the christ punchers - 66

Tomlinson is hitting his stride, which could mean trouble for all those teams facing the Devils in the near future. Bulger and Moss joined him with over 20 points and Hambrick threw in 12. Carolina's D did well against Atlanta, but could they have done that if Vick were playing? the punchers had a fine game, just ran into a team that had a better game. Tough guy McNair went for 21, while Wilkins, McAllister and J-mal all got into double digitts. 2 or less points out of 5 players is a bit worrisome however.

Week Five Preview
Puddins Pugilists
Chkn Burrito Ultimo

The newly acquired Tampa Bay D could make the difference through the rest of the season for Puddin. Look for them to score well as Manning becomes frustrated following his incredible Week 4 performance. McNabb may finally break out of his slump against Washington, although it is possible that he will get knocked out of the game. Lelie should find the end zone against KC and Garner should have a solid game against Chi-town. For Burrito, Look for Favre and Green to run into some trouble, leaving the rest of the team to carry the load. Burress should get a score or two against Cleveland, but Stallworth should continue to disappoint. Puddin by 9.

Touch It!
Da Pooh Bears

Touch It! has some holes to fill in the starting lineup this week. Zereoue and Ward could both do well and Trent Green should have no problem with Denver's D. For Da Bears, Brooks will struggle again, but Rod Gardner and Priest Holmes should rebound with big games this week. Vanderjagt should get a few field goal attempts. Touch It! by 8.

The Unmutuals
The PingPong Paddles

Following last week's barnburner, the Unmutuals are looking for an easy win here. They just might get it. Peyton will be stifled this week, but Lav and Anquan should have solid games, while Ricky Williams could be a monster. Indy's D is going to do well against TB's weak offense. The Paddles are starting 3 Denver players at KC, which could become a problem. They just won't have the ball enough to be effective. C Johnson should get another TD, but it seems that the Bengals are losing some faith in C Dillon. Unmutuals by 17.

Dewey Devils
Mamas Boys II

Look for the season record of 109 point to fall to the waysid ein this one. Bledsoe, Moss, Moulds and Carolina's D could ALL wind up with over 20 points this week. Scary stuff here. For the Mamas Boys, Ramsey should get a couple touchdowns and Warrick could get one as well. Unfortunately, it appears as if it would take a Herculean effort to take the Devils this week and the Boys just can't do it. Devils by 33.

the christ punchers
Team X

the christ punchers are going to have to fill in their starting lineup with some backups. This could be a problem. Oakland's D may be their big scorer this week. Team X should finally pick up their first win of the season here. If Gus gets the go, look for a big game against Atlanta and Fred Taylor should get a score against San Diego. In a close, low-scoring game, Team X by 5.
